Vallarta-Nayarit Gastronómica 17 Officially Announced

The 17th edition of Vallarta-Nayarit Gastronómica, one of Mexico’s most prestigious culinary festivals, has been officially announced. Under the theme “Connecting Minds, Connecting Souls,” the event will run from October 12 to 19 in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, extending to an extra day to become the longest-running gastronomic festival in Mexico.

At a press conference, festival directors Carlos Elizondo and Consuelo Elipe highlighted that this year’s event aims to surpass last year’s attendance of over 14,000 people and generate significant economic benefits for the region. A key focus will be on education, with hundreds of gastronomy students from across Mexico receiving training through seminars, workshops, and tastings led by world-renowned chefs.

This year’s festival will feature over 50 chefs, sommeliers, baristas, and speakers. The event will also welcome international guests from Spain, the Dominican Republic, Chile, and Brazil, along with local chefs who will showcase regional talent through dinners, a grill area, and business workshops. The week will be filled with diverse culinary experiences, from high-end cuisine to street food, with activities including chocolate workshops, mixology sessions, and exclusive wine tastings.
