The Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) has announced a significant investment of over 26 billion pesos ($1.3 billion USD) to modernize and expand the Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta international airports over the next five years.
The Guadalajara International Airport is slated to receive the lion’s share of the investment, with 22.377 billion pesos allocated for a major overhaul.
Puerto Vallarta International Airport will receive an investment of 3.6 billion pesos, which will primarily be used to expand the existing terminal. The new terminal building, spanning 74,000 square meters, will accommodate 15 additional aircraft gates, marking a 134% increase in terminal capacity.
