Significant progress is being made on the new vehicular bridge at the Las Juntas traffic circle in Puerto Vallarta. The first girders for the structure were installed this week, marking a major milestone just four months after construction began. The project now boasts approximately 60 percent completion following the placement of these initial four pre-stressed girders, which will form the primary framework of the elevated pass.
Each of these girders measures 30 meters in length and was installed during the early morning hours to minimize disruption. Their placement covers the first of the bridge’s three sections, located at the critical intersection of State Highway 544 (Mascota–Las Palmas) and Federal Highway 200. This intersection is a key point for connectivity between Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, and Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit.
Over the coming days, the remaining eight girders will be mounted for the two unfinished sections, further progressing the bridge’s overall construction. Once completed, this new vehicular bridge is expected to significantly improve traffic flow and connectivity in the bustling Puerto Vallarta area.
