Volaris airline has recommenced its direct flight service connecting Monterrey (MTY) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR), a development initially announced earlier this year. The service will now have a total of 355 flight frequencies throughout April. This increase signals a growing demand for travel to the region, suggesting a promising summer season for both tourists and local businesses.
To commemorate the occasion, representatives from Volaris and the Puerto Vallarta tourism sector welcomed the first passengers arriving on the reactivated route this afternoon. A symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to officially mark the flight’s return. The arrival of these passengers not only strengthens the connection between Monterrey and Puerto Vallarta but also encourages cultural and commercial exchange between the two cities.
The daily flight, operated using Airbus 320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers, will offer over 5,400 seats monthly. With the addition of this route, Volaris now connects Puerto Vallarta with eight airports across Mexico: Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Bajío, Querétaro, Toluca, Mexicali, and Tijuana.
