From May 17 to 24, 2026, Puerto Vallarta will transform into a vibrant celebration of love and identity with Vallarta Pride 2026. This year’s theme, “Un Pride Muy Mexicano” (A Very Mexican Pride), highlights the deep intersection of LGBTQ+ activism and traditional Mexican culture. Beyond the festivities, this edition marks a historic “Sister Pride” partnership with NYC Pride, bringing an international spotlight and a massive delegation from the birthplace of the Pride movement to the shores of Banderas Bay.
The week’s centerpiece is Thursday, May 21, which features a massive double-header. The Vallarta Pride Parade kicks off at 4:00 PM (tentative) from the Sheraton Hotel, winding along the iconic Malecón before finishing in the heart of the Romantic Zone. Immediately following the parade, the Pride Block Party takes over Calle Lázaro Cárdenas starting at 6:00 PM. This legendary street festival closes the area to traffic, featuring two outdoor stages with live drag performances, world-class DJs, and a festive atmosphere that lasts well into the early morning hours.
Other highlights include the Pride Pet Parade on Monday, May 18, and the Pink Dinner & After Party on Wednesday, May 20. For those looking for circuit energy, the Industry Pride Vallarta Festival and Mantamar Pride Pool Parties will run from Wednesday through Sunday. Additionally, Bear Pride 2026 (organized by Bearadise) will run concurrently from May 20 to 24, featuring dedicated beach excursions and “furry” nights, ensuring there is a space for every corner of the community to celebrate.
