The data reveals a significant increase in travel bookings for groups of three or more people, suggesting that the traditional romantic getaway is evolving to include friends and family. Airbnb’s press team noted, “This trend indicates that, beyond traditional romantic getaways for couples, many groups of friends or couples are choosing to celebrate together.”
When it comes to specific destinations, Puerto Vallarta takes the lead, followed by Mérida, Acapulco, Cancún, Playa del Carmen, and Mazamitla. The platform highlights that Puerto Vallarta offers a diverse range of accommodations, from luxurious villas with private pools to cozy beachfront cottages, catering to various preferences and budgets.
