PV Unveils New Fleet of Buses and Taxis

In a significant step towards modernizing public transportation, the Jalisco state government has delivered 93 new buses and initiated a taxi modernization program in Puerto Vallarta. The initiative, led by outgoing Governor Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, aims to improve the overall transportation experience for residents and visitors alike.

The new buses are equipped with electronic payment systems compatible with the Mi Movilidad card, emergency exits, and air conditioning. Additionally, the state has allocated 20 million pesos to support taxi modernization, including the issuance of 355 new permits to provide legal certainty to taxi drivers.

With the addition of the 93 new buses, a total of 118 units have been replaced this year in Puerto Vallarta, representing an investment of 73,906,107 pesos by the state government. This substantial investment is expected to improve the efficiency, comfort, and safety of public transportation in the city.
