Puerto Vallarta is excited to announce the sixth edition of the annual marathon, set to take place on April 6, 2025. The event, which has become a highly anticipated fixture on the region’s sporting calendar, is expected to attract over 3,000 runners from around the globe.
During a press conference held at the International Convention Center, event director Humberto Muñoz Vargas revealed that the marathon will offer a variety of race distances to accommodate runners of all levels. Participants can choose from a full marathon (42km), half marathon (21km), or shorter recreational runs of 10km and 5km.
One of the highlights of the event is the 42km marathon, which is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). This certification makes the Puerto Vallarta Marathon a qualifying event for prestigious international races such as the Boston Marathon.
