In a significant move to bolster its tourism and maritime infrastructure, the government of Jalisco has initiated technical assessments for the construction of two new piers in Puerto Vallarta. One pier will be located on the iconic Mismaloya beach, while the other will be situated on Camarones beach, directly in front of the well-known Mangos Beach club on Teatro Vallarta street near Casa Ley.
The project at Camarones beach, located on Uruguay street in the downtown area, is strategically positioned in one of the port’s busiest tourist and urban zones. This development is expected not only to increase the availability of embarkation and disembarkation services but also to become a key point for local economic revitalization.
During a technical site visit led by the State Secretary of Infrastructure and Public Works (SIOP), David Zamora Bueno, and the municipal president of Puerto Vallarta, Luis Ernesto Munguía González, it was announced that work on the Camarones beach pier could commence this year, following the completion of the necessary technical studies.
Meanwhile, the plan for Mismaloya beach involves the replacement of the existing pier with improvements including the rehabilitation of access points, lighting, and connectivity with the Red Jalisco network. The initial investment for this project is estimated at 55 million pesos, with completion anticipated by the end of 2025.
