Puerto Vallarta Airport Poised for Record-Breaking Year

The Puerto Vallarta International Airport is flying toward a historic finish for 2025, buoyed by robust passenger figures in November. With strong performance across both domestic and international sectors, the terminal is firmly on track to achieve a new annual passenger record, showcasing the resort city’s enduring and growing appeal as a premier destination.

November proved to be an exceptionally strong month for air travel, with the airport successfully managing 618,900 passengers—a notable increase over the previous year. This growth was significantly powered by the domestic market, which saw a surge of 7.0% in November, welcoming 257,000 travelers. Year-to-date domestic traffic shows a powerful expansion, standing 10.1% higher than the same period in 2024.

Crucially, the international market has also regained strong momentum. The airport welcomed 361,900 international passengers in November, marking a solid 2.9% increase compared to last year. With the year concluding, the airport has already served a massive 6,234,900 passengers through the first eleven months of 2025. Given that December is traditionally a very productive month, current projections suggest the terminal will easily surpass its 2024 total of 6.8 million passengers.
