Security forces and municipal authorities from Bahía de Banderas and Puerto Vallarta convened for the 6th Metropolitan Table for Peace and Security, aiming to enhance coordination and combat crime across the region. This important meeting underscored a unified approach to public safety for both communities.
The gathering, held in Puerto Vallarta, saw key participation from Luis Munguía, Municipal President of Puerto Vallarta, and Israel Santillán, Secretary of the Bahía de Banderas City Council, alongside Briana Guzmán, Director of Citizen Security and Municipal Transit for Bahía de Banderas. Representatives from federal agencies, including the National Guard, Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), Attorney General’s Office (FGR), and Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR), were also present, along with Nayarit State Police and local municipal and transit police from Puerto Vallarta.
During the interregional working session, participants delved into critical areas such as the exchange of strategies, coordination of operations, analysis of crime rates, and the establishment of a unified agenda. The security strategy being implemented aligns with national policy guidelines championed by President Claudia Sheinbaum.
