If you bring your children, I would recommand the pirateship. Calatas is pretty nice, but boring for children After all it is just a beach. Pirates will take care of your little ones. Am pretty sure that All families will agree.

Re:Caletas day trip vs, Pirate ship day trip
Las caletas is wonderful. Lots for kids to do. Mine really enjoyed the entire day. I would go again in a minute! The Pirate ship left the same time we did and it looked more cramped and a lot more active then our boat. Lots of sing dancing and general parting(The bar must have opened earlier:)) It is all in what you are looking for .
Re:Caletas day trip vs, Pirate ship day trip
I took the trip to Caletas last week with my 6 and 9 year old boys. They had a great time snorkling, kayaking, looking at the parrots, feeding the deer and going on nature walks. They loved the boat ride, they thought the staffs little show on the boat was great, we saw dolphins, which they loved. I would recommend this trip for children!!!!
Re:Caletas day trip vs, Pirate ship day trip
Would you recommend this tour for 2 adults. My husband and I got snorkeling most of the places we go. We enjoy having beverages (ie.alchol) but not the hard core partying type. Is it like a cattle car with tons of people all hitting the water at the same time?

Or is there another snorkel tour someone would recommend.
Thank you
Deb

We rented a guided private panga in Mismaloya, four of us, went snorkeling at Los Arcos and then a sightseeing cruise to beaches etc. We took some beverages with us on board and had a great time. The guide we had was Isreal. He has been in the Mismaloya area all his life and was very knowledgable and spoke pretty good english. He pointed out Manta Rays as we went by them etc. It was a great day!

We also hired a captain, Tony and boat for a few hours from Camino Real. He took us south to Los Arcos where we snorked. It was 100 times better than the snorkling at Caletas. The captain threw bread in the water and there were so many fish around us, my children loved it!!! My husband and I loved it as well.
