US discount travel sites

I am exploring to see if we can fly out of Fargo instead of Winnipeg - maybe it would be cheaper... my question is this: What sites are reliable for discount travel?

we booked out of minneapolis 2 weeks air hotel and taxes 756.00. We also got a hotel in minneapolis that watches our car for the 2 weeks at no extra charge just staying there the night before and optional on the night we get back 90.00. We used expedia.ca thats who we have allways used and its a direct flight there and back.


to book the exact same package on the same dates out of winnipeg it was 1500.00 each with 2 stops one being minneapolis.Anyways expedia has allways been very reliable to us.Hope this might help.

Tracy, also when looking to fly out of the US, if possible, try leaving during the week. If have found Tues & Wed to be the cheapest.

...any idea what a cab would cost from the airport to the Canto? A cab is $170 pesos
A van is $335 pesos

Tracy, go read my trip report...it tells you exactly how/where to find a taxi in the airport. I just got back last Friday.

Plus the rates Lori noted are not per person but for the vehicle. Because you are a group of 4 you will need the van/suburban. The taxis are not big enough for 4 people plus luggage. 3 maybe but not 4.

I just checked expedia and if you leave on friday its 788 each and if you leave on the tuesday its 637 each. I just guessed at the kids ages when checking but thats a bit of a difference.

I am flying out of ( chicago) normally I have to catch a flight from Chi. to Minn. but this time I got a non-stop for $425.00 us. American Airlines is also offering 6 months no interest on flights, pretty good deal if you really want to go on vacation but want to pay for it monthly or take your time paying before you go . jeff
