No, just an imprint, no signature. I have had this asked both in Mexico & the good Ole US of A. I always refuse.

No, just an imprint, no signature. I have had this asked both in Mexico & the good Ole US of A. I always refuse. I personally find it quite insulting plus the fact that they can write any amount they wish since I already sign it and it has my credit card information.

Does anyone know the legality of this practice in Mexico?

If someone in the US asked me to sign a blank imprint with my credit card info and no $$ amount on it I would most probably sue.
I would hazard a guess that if Visa (or whatever other card they do this with) found out that \"they\" were doing that, they might revoke their ability to accept cards at all...Just guessing though...
