we stayed at royal decameron near bucierus north of town...resort is 3 star and very well maintained...2 big buffets...4 reservation restruarants...arrived late evening2/1, walked around to take in some sites then crashed
day 1 we stayed at resort beach and pools for half a day then traveled to town to check out the happenings on the malecon...lots of people mingling and activity in the streets...took in sunset then ate at the Happy Crab 1 block north of main drag....xcellent food, service....walked alittle more then traveled back to the Decameron for their evening entertainment show (very talented entertainment staff), finished evening wife and I with drinks at one of the beachside bars...
day 2....full day of fun and sun at resort (we are by choice beach/water bums), supper and drinks at the resort, then to the theatre for more live entertainment, finishing off the nite at bar on the beach, kids met others their age which helped us out
day 3 shopped and ate in the town of Bucerius(?) ate at the Capri Cafe along the beach, very good seafood and xcellent service. Back to the resort to refresh in the great pools, dinner and more time just relaxing at any of the beach bars
day4 shopped and visited Puerto vallarta again, what a cool city..missed finding the Blue Shrimp , we were tired and gungry, so we settled for the closest spot (hooters!!!)finished lunch, more shopping then back to the resort for the sunset/ dinner/ drinks.....took in the nitely show then back to the beach to finish off the evening
day 5 and 6 really dont differ from the above......we didnt need it to since we are water/beach bums:)
the one negative thing i need to report is we booked a boat for the 4th with Outcast Adventures in Marina Vallarta, put money down early(weeks in advance) with a local person in my state, he seemed to do every thing rite, but as soon as we arrived in PV...I called his partner in the Marina and was led on a weeks worth of delays and BS that on friday, I canceled the whole process ( I feel the person running the business in PV wanted more money from me so he put us on a BS trail for those days).....Especially after my familly took lessons for snorkelling, so we would be familiar with this activity...then to be led on this BS trail really Pis@ed me off >( .. So be careful
all in all PV, resort, people were wonderful....and the sunsets are xactly what others say about them WONDERFUL......
