… in this trip we had an encounter with nature, Rachel got sting by what the locals call a flying tiger ant, I had been bit before back in my country and yes it hearts for a while but to kill wherever got into the skin I put lemon and the cold water helps her to forget it; she was fine later that afternoon. Me, well, always something has to happen, on my way back to the horse I slip crossing the stream of water and I cut my toe o-(( but that did not stop me at all, I clean it and I put a bandage and there I was back into the water in not time. Alcohol from the open bar in the cruise helps to kill any kind of pain.
We went back to the hotel to refresh our self and we didn’t know but the buses stop going to Zona Romantica before 5 pm because they close the Malecon, there were river of people the last 3 days we were there. That did not stop us, we went to Apaches restaurant and we had a fine dinner and of course we stop at the bar to say hi and have late drinks there.
Friday, we dedicated this day to shop and get the last minute souvenirs. We went to the public markets but I found it more or less expensive from those venders on the street, we did bargain though. We did bought flavor Tequila and we got two and the 3rd one was half price (why not we were not going over the limit of alcohol that we are allow to bring back to Canada), we had to try a few flavors until finally decide which one we wanted, we got a little tipsy with all the tries that we did.
After all the last minute shopping we went to said good by to all the wonderful people we meet at Apaches:cry: , we did the last minute pictures and we went back to the hotel before 11pm we did one more stop to the liter to go place and we got the corona for only $3.50 that was the lowest that we had pay for beer, we took it to the hotel, we seat near the pool looking to ocean and try to visualize one more time PV before returning home.
Saturday, we had to wake up early to get ready, take our breakfast and have everything on order with the hotel, Signature came to picks up at 9 am and drop us at the airport, until then everything was going smooth, the stress start when they told me that I can not carry my fragile in the small box because it was flammable and that the bottles even though were well pack in my luggage I had to carry with me in a different way at and discard the box, they told that I can do it before going inside the gate where they check the carry on. I got to the counter and they told me that they had to charge a couple of extra pounds, well I told them that they had to charge my credit card because at this point I did not had any cash on me, glad I did it that way because the other person in charge of doing this forms complaint to the girl who has taken our information that he was too busy to do it (or too lazy) and to let us go with the extra pounds. No complains, we took our things and re pack the tequila and the fragile on our carry on bags. After that was a smooth trip, we did not have any problems in Canada and we cam back home safe and sound, back to reality and to start working hard to go back for another adventure in PV.
