Re:GCP June 3 - 10
Well with that note, i can honestly say you have a wonderful vacation, you had a wonderful anniversary (without going into details) LOL and got to make some new friends... You need to try smoked marlin tacos though... they are fantastic... i know \"fish\" or \"seafood\" in a taco or burrito it kind of scary but damn they are good... now another place to go try is 8 Tostados... they have some good food as well... so you should be set... I did get your e-mail and yes we will keep you posted on the february trip.. .once we get everything locked down for us, JJ and JC, hopefully Blane and Susan, and the rest of the wild bunch.... we will make it happen... then i will make sure what is going to happen for our \"annual\" surprise for our friends and special guests of the resort.... Personally i would love to get the \"Presidential Suite\" for 24hrs.... private plunge pool, hot tub, private sun deck area ... then have chef fix us dinner up in the Dining area... 16 person mahagony table and chairs... pool table and dart board etc... man that would be awesome... LOL maybe i need to get ahold of Senor Salvador Onolles (the CEO, the Owner, the BIG DOG) and see what he would do fo me... LOL and yes the resturant is named after him at the resort... but your trip reports have been fantastic... they make us all love the resort all that much more... and now you know why we love our home away from home...

talk to you soon Judiliee and Lise... love to you both...
love hugs and kisses from Iowa....

I will definitely cross Adventure Tours off my list. Thanks for the \"heads up\".

Duh Shouldnt you have called and double checked with the airline especially since you had already been given one change , and exspensive lesson to be sure , nice trip report on the GCP we stayed there last winter and cant say what all the fuss is about although it always seems to be the same couple of posters promoting this place , we found it terribly small , one of the smallest pools we have ever seen in fact after travelling extensively through MexicoI kept looking for the adult pool at the Crown becuase I thought the pool was for kids! The staff tries very hard to be sure but I was turned off of ordering room service after witnessing a room service waiter drinking and eating off of a tray before delivering it ! The other thing about the Crown is whats up with the towels , you cant get towels delivered in a timely fashion it seems this resort is lacking in money or funds becuse every other resort we have been to we never had this problem . A very small resort that should have been built on two or three times the property size ,and the rooms are looking really old and tired as well .

well we may be one of the \"couple\" people that promote this resort... and we have found this resort to meet our needs as we like the size of it and its proximity to all the fun things we like to do. Wait a couple of years and then you can stay at the new Golden Crown Paradise that is being propsed for Nuevo Vallarta... Senior Salvador Onalles is currently building a new property in Cancun then will be coming to Nuevo Vallarta to build something similar to his Cancun resorts. You have to realize that it used to be even smaller than what is today... up until a couple of years ago the rooms facing the ocean by the Breeze bar/palapa was part of the Playa de Oro (now known as the Crown Paradise Club Resorts)... this added 72 rooms to the resort... then they took a block of rooms off the second floor and created the Paradise Resturant... so i think with some of these changes they are doing just fine by us... and we have been to the Sandals Resorts in Jamiaca too.... and we used to stay at the flag ship in Montego Bay right across from the airport... and that was all white glove treatment... and yet some of that resort needed upgrading too, but the staff and management made our stay worth while.... but when Butch Steward the owner started spending money on Air Jamaica, and then greated his Beaches for family all inclusives,... his prices started going up, and now we can stay two weeks at the GCP for price of one week at Sandals resorts.... so for out money we will keep staying at the Golden Crown Paradise as long as Senor Ignacio \"Nacho\" Juergui is the general manager, and he keeps his staff intact like he has over the years... we will keep coming back every February for our two weeks from the Iowa winters....

I hope you find a place you can call home... because that is exactly what we feel like when we are at the GCP, home... we are recognized from the moment we exit the taxi, to the moment we leave...

peace and love...
