Fiesta Fun
Sounds like a very fun and entertaining evening . The fireworks and bonfire were a bonus. Las Palmas is a very friendly resort and they make sure their guests have a good vacation. Las Palmas is all inclusive but non guests can buy an evening pass (6pm - 11pm ) for 200 pesos . I think a all day pass is 350 pesos. Both passes include use of all facilities, food , drink and entertainment. Laurie and I got the night pass for 3 evenings and joined Bill and Sylvia and numerous new friends for drinks and dinner/entertainment. We thought this was a very good deal. We had a lot of laughs at Las Palmas - might have something to do with the open bar http://bestsmileys.com/drinking/2.gif" alt="User image" loading="lazy"> but the best was the friends we were spending time with . :)

Lollipops is the proper word we grew up calling them suckers.
Different generation I guess. :)

The ones the children had at fiesta night were whirly pops

on our last night in pv last december i talked my wife into going on a timeshare presentation in nuevo vallarta. we got 200usd and tickets to the fiesta iguana. i thought a fiesta would be a nice way to spend our last night. the man said the fiesta iguana was the best show in town. he said to get there early as they fill up fast. we did and then found out that it was a cash bar until the show started.2 small margaritas 80 pesos. the first hour of entertainment was a one man show with an organ singing freddy fender songs. 5 mariaches then sang 2 or 3 songs and went to the buffet and ate all the food that was still left.( if you go, fill your plate the first time)the best entertainment was people from the audience singing la cucaracha with a mouth full of tequilla. ( it was not 100% agave azul) the best part of the day was the taxi ride to nuevo. our original plans were to have cocktails and watch the sunset from the balcony of viejo vallarta and then huachinango al mojo de ajo for dinner. oh well live and learn
