When do I tip the bartender at an AI resort?

Posting on this one just cause it looks f-----d up! I tip in anticipation of good service and for good service performed. A good PV bartender will remember you, fix your drink as you like it (fuerte para mi) and run some interesting conversation to you, hopefuly he will also try to teach you a little spanish.
