Nuevo Vallarta bars/dance clubs?

I will be staying in at the Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta in a month or so. Could someone recommend dance clubs, bars/restaraunts in that area?

The only dance clubs and bars I am aware of in Nuevo are actually located in the resorts, I believe the Mayan has a disco on site (I know the Marival does).....out in Nuevo, you sacrifice quantity and variety for peace and relaxation. Works for some people, not so much for others.

If you want a bigger selection than that, I suggest going to the Malecon, Marina, Old Town or Hotel Zone for more choice.

I stayed in nuevo vallarta at paradise village a year ago and they did not have a disco/club in their hotel. But in the plaza there was some resturant that at night turned into a bar...it was ok. It is good if you do not feel like traveling to town a night. But me and my friend got really excited when we went into the little supermarket and bought a 6 pack of coronas for 2.00.
