Best time to go to the Malecon

My wife and I have booked to stay at Canto Del Sol for a week this November. We have never been to Puerto Vallarta and have been told that we \"must\" go to the Malecon. I understand this is some sort of boardwalk that you can find entertainment, vendors, etc. When would be the best time to visit and how far away is it from our hotel. Also we want to try the \"zip lines\". How much does it cost and where is the best place to go to book this?

just about any time is a great time... but the one we like the best is Sunday Night... get down there about 4pm in the afternoon, set up some place for early supper or for cocktails... then just watch the world pass you buy... it is great when all the mexican familias come out all dressed up to go out with friends... then down at the square they will be dancing, shows by the local schools, artisans, craftisans, as well as vendors with food and more food... and then the shows along the malecon from Mc Donalds all the way down to Hooters...

come on down and enjoy... it is a grea time to be had by all....

A great time to wander the Malecon? How about any evening on days ending with \"y\"?

I am not sure about their names either Nora, but my oh my when you watch them spinning, hanging there, playing their flutes and drums... i got dizzy just watching them... i realize that this thread was started along time ago, but there is never a dull moment along the malecon... morning, noon, or night... even late at night.... the sound of the waves crashing against the beach... the couples walking hand in hand arm in arm (MF, FF, MM) it is all amore..... Vallarta is a loving city that is for sure...

when i was there i went to the malecón sunday. spent quite a few hours just watching people and enjoying everything that was going on. i found it a great place to just relax
