Bank Machines in PV and NV - Safe to use?

Hi folks

Ive read some nasty reports of people experiencing credit card and/or bank machine fraud after using their cards here in Mexico....I just used a bank machine to withdraw 1500 pesos and it seemed like a safe transaction. Do I have anything to worry about?
