Hi every one! My wife and I are leaving cold, raining, snowing Indiana for 2 weeks in PV starting this Wednesday. (We are even going to stay 3 nights in Yelapa @ Casa Bella Orquidea)
We will also be flying out my sister and her new husband to come down for 1 week. My sister some how found the web site www.mexrebate.com that promises you $200.00 to take a 2 hour tour of the Playa del Sol. Having been to PV countless times my first impression is that this is too good to be true and tried to talk them out of it. Does any one have any experience with this type of thing?

It is probably a bonafide offer because most of the timeshare people on the streets will offer you up to $300.00 to take a tour. In fact, you would probably do better to wait until you get there and talk to one of the hawkers. We have been offered as much as $300.00 cash and various other things like tickets, blankets and tequila. We took them up on it one time, were given the cash in the taxi on the way to the hotel and the blankets and tickets on our way out. It was fairly pleasant the first hour while we were looking at the accomodations but got uncomfortable after that and we definitely felt we had earned our money. We know of several peole who finance parts of their trip this way but unless you are really interested in buying a timeshare, it can be a waste of yor precious vacation time.
