Why did you pick Puerto Vallarta?

Re:Why did you pick Puerto Vallarta?
I took my first trip to PV in January of 2000. It was my first vacation in 20 years. I always thought that spending what little money I had on travel was extravegant. Then I landed in PV. I felt all of the same feelings that the posters described. I love PV and I dream about living there. I too think of the beaches, the warm air, the smells, and the people every day. My friends questioned whether I felt this way because it was my first trip in such a long time but I too felt that PV was home. Is home. I am going back in 23 days and I know that my daughter will have to push me on the plane to come back to the States when it is time to leave my paradise.
Re:Why did you pick Puerto Vallarta?
I echo all that was said above. We just returned from our 17th consecutive year there. It is HOME. I will book again as early as makes sense. One day I will never leave there.

Thanks Sas for your reply, too. I really enjoy when people tell there PV experiences. It makes me want to leave right now to PV!! Keep your responses coming, I never get tired of reading about beautiful PV (sigh)!!
Re:Why did you pick Puerto Vallarta?
We chose PV cuz it was the only one that met our budget and had what my hubby and I wanted. I wanted pretty photo potential and hubby wanted nice beaches that you could walk for miles. We are so looking forward to our trip, never been outside the USA before.
Re:Why did you pick Puerto Vallarta?
Sitting here reading thru all the post and it has brought tears to my eyes, all that is written is so true. Its nice to know Im not the only one who loves the smell when you get off the plane. If I could bring home the smells and wonderful sound having to wait for the next trip would be so much easyer. I took my first trip to Puerta Vallarta in 1987 with my daughter and a friend, my daughter and I have been going back at least once a year and whenever possible twice. I took a friend from work down in 1991 and she immediatelyfell in love with it. After she retired she moved there.Oh how I envied her. On my trip last in May she passed away but was where she wanted to be. People are always asking why we would want to go to the same place every year, they should all read this board. We are working on plans for our trip the end of May and am already counting days.
