What to pack?

That and a bathing suit are sufficient unless you plan to go to one of the many nice restaurants in town, in which case you might want to bring something a little nicer. The further you get away from the beach the less beachwear is appreciated. I hope you have a great time and enjoy your vacation.

I think as people we pack way too much ,my first 3 days all I needed was a pair of shorts. wasnt till my feet were sore from being barefoot that bought some flip flops.

a pair of shorts on the balcony to dry , a pair to wear and a back-up pair

A pair of comfortable shoes are a good idea if you plan on going downtown.

I know about forgeting a thing or two. I Jan, in the Mayan Riviera, I forgot to bring a belt, of all things. Of course you need to were slacks in the resturants at night and the only thing I had to hold up my pants was a bunjee cord. I wore tropical print shirts over it so no one noticed. I could have bought a belt at the resort, but not for $85 usd. :shock:

For me, add 50% to that length. Yikes. :shock:

Yea well that 30\" was over 10 years ago now I wear a 28\". :wink:

This has been mentioned on other threads - pack light . PV has many laundromats and places that will do your laundry for you .

I always bring a snack , lots of water ( airport prices are nuts ! ) toilet paper , gravol , immodium , first aid kit ( bandages ,disinfectant etc), reading material in my carry on . Things easily bought in PV but when needed - good to have close by - especially the toilet paper ! :)

The only trouble I have about buying what I forget there is clothing. Those mexican sizes are so small. My only hope is if the circus is in town so I can borrow a tent. :roll:

My parents have done this a few times in the hotel zone and had no problems.... When in November are you going? How old are your kids? Sorry for the pop quiz, we are going in November as well (Nov 25 - Dec 2) with our daughter 7. This will be her 2nd trip to PV :lol

We are planning to go November 1st-8th. Sorry to hear we will miss you, my daughter will be 6 in June, my son is 11. Neither have been and both are extremely excited!!! Thanks for the info regarding laundry. I may have to drop it off and pick it up!
