What to expect in Puerto Vallarta

Weather is hot and humid, with frequent showers. Lots of Mexican tourists there now. Best place for talavera is Mundo de Azulejos, in old town, think its on Carranza. They make some of the finest talavera in Mexico or the world. It is mostly tile, and murals, but also has sinks, lots of kitchen and bathroom stuff. They will do custom work very inexpensively.The other items you should look at are the Huichol glass bead work, it too is the finest on the planet. Those are the only two things that are extememly high quality. These are more than souveniers, they are fine pieces.

ellen I guess you will just have to mail me ALL of the photos . :)

best to tip with pesos, a National may have difficulty exchanging dollars. 15% in restaurants is general practice but as always anywhere will depend on service.

Could anyone PLEASE give me any costs for things in Puerto Vallarta (in pesos)? Dinner in a restaurant? Soft drink?
