Re:what is considered to be off season?
Just wanted to correct my previous post. From reading these boards, etc. it appears the \"in season\" is December and January, so I guess everything else must be off. But I understand from my reading that September is very wet, so alot of places close for renovation etc.
Re:what is considered to be off season?
Seasons in PV:
December to May - high season
June through September - low season
October November - shoulder season
This varies depending on who you speak to but those are the general guidelines. September is still considered rainy season as well.

My husband and I just returned from PV. We were there 9/15-9/19. It did rain every day we were there but only a small amount and usually at night. It did not hinder any of our plans. While we were there all the tours were up and running. We went horseback riding and also went on the part pirate ship (which was a great time. Have a great time!
Re:what is considered to be off season?
we went at this time about 3 years ago. it will be hot during the day with a pretty high humidity that makes it feel hotter. the afternoon thunderstorms felt great(cooling it off for a while) but then it added to the humidity the next day. however, we are going back in two weeks, so obviously it was not that bad. we also found the mountains to be much more beautiful this time of year. enjoy, it will be wonderful and beautiful
kristen I just got back from PV on the 19th and we went horse back riding and loved it. I guess its a thing that if you dont like riding horses then dont go. I love horses and have only been riding twice before that trip. The trip I went on was about 4 hours long. We went through creeks and up hills to a waterfall. And at the end of our trip they provided us with lunch and drinks. It was an awsome experience
