You can get legally married in PV and have the marriage recogznized as legal in the United States as long as you have the civil legal ceremony performed in PV by a local judge. Once you return the U.S., have the married registered at the same location where you would apply for your marriage license if you got married in your home state. Simple and you are recognized as being legally married in the States as well as Mexico! Only the civil legal ceremony is recognized as being legal. Any religious ceremony performed in PV is not recognized as being legally married in PV or in the United States.
