Weather in mid-August

Just curious on what the weather and insects will be like in mid-August so we can pack appropriately. Thanks in advance.

i went in the beginning of last august..it was hot, overcast at times and the rain at night was the most amazing thing i have seen.....lightning in the sky is like no other. during the day it was somewhat clear, at times...but very humid! the rain is warm.....all in all, it was great...loved the wetness, the warmth and the humid weather...definetly pack light....no leather...wrong time for S & M ;-)
