We are arriving on November 30th and need some advice.

Has anyone stayed in Nuevo Vallarta? What is it like? We are staying at the Mayan Palace.
What about cabs?? How much from the airport? Restaurants not to miss? Tours?? Dinner cruises?? Snorkeling? Beaches?? Any suggestions on anything would be greatly appreciated.
