while staying in town at a nonAI - when you \"park\" yourselves at a restaurant or beach club, do they rent the chairs, pads and towels? or would we need our own towels? thanks in advance.

As long as you purchase food & drink there normally is no charge for lounge chairs or pads. Buy yourself a nice PV beach towel to take home with you. All the shops sell them.

We have never had any issues with towels, beach chairs, or signing for our drinks and snacks

you mean that as an outside of a establishment i can go in a just sign in for the usage of toweles and for food and drinks

Chico , every hotel I have stayed at has issued a towel card which you have to exchange for towels. This vacation at Fiesta Americana they even recorded a code off the towels . So I left my towel card and also a record of the towels I received. I talked with the waitstaff and they had no problem with guests using the loungers and pool as long as you bought food/drinks.

hey all, as i understand this questions is specific about downtown and non-all-inclusive hotels,not resorts. how things work on the public beach in the palapa bars is different than a fancy resort managed beach area. believe me in budget hotels there are no towel cards, etc.
