TIme zone??

Howdy...from South Dakota and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the time change will be?

If you are staying in Puerto Vallarta, the time will not change for you since it is in the Central Time Zone also. If you are staying in Nuevo Vallarta, to the north of PV, you will be in the Mountain Time Zone (or one hour behind). The time zone changes when you drive across the Ameca River to the north of PV into the Mexican State of Nayarit. Puerto Vallarta is in the Mexican State of Jalisco.

Does Mexico use daylight savings time? If not, it would be one hour different than in SD. unless you are going after dst goes off.

Yes.

We have been there for the change back to standard, and damn near missed a couple of sunsets.

what about poor Newfoundland. they were so confused that they went to a half hour time change.
