sunrise is usually around 7 am or shortly there after and sunset we always meet down by the breeze bar and toast the sunset at 7 pm, you get almost 12 hours of sunlight. I know when i used to golf out at Los Flamingos, i would be on the course by 630, and could just barely see the golf ball, and by 700 it was coming up and starting to warm things up. not to mention dry out the fairways and greens.

The first time I went to Puerto Vallarta I did not know a lot about it.
I had never been to a message board. I was very new on the computer. I picked Puerto Vallarta out of a travel brochure.
What caught my eye in the brochure and made me want to travel to Puerto Vallarta were the pictures of the Ocean The Church The Malecon and the Words that Puerto Vallarta had Old World Charm. Cobble stone streets buildings that were whitewashed and had beautiful planters on the balconies with flowers spilling over the ledges. This appealed to the romantic I am .

I did not hear or read about sunrises and sunsets.
So first trip to Puerto Vallarta I missed every sunrise and sunset except I did see the most beautiful sunset the day after Kenna.
I saw my fellow tourists sitting at the Sea wall every early eve at the same time. Beach chairs were all pointed to the West.
I was probably in the pool or wandering around.
I thought that my fellow tourists were just enjoying the Ocean or shooting the breeze :) as it was happy hour.

I now know that while I was wandering around I was missing something very beautiful.

Second trip early eve I pointed my beach chair to the West. I sat quietly paitienly waiting for what was to be a very beautiful event. A Puerto Vallarta Sunset.
I was not disappointed.
If one is paitent enough and if you have your camera in hand you can catch the Big Ball the Sun as it falls into the Ocean. I have a pic of the Sunset with the Sun sitting on the edge of the Sea.

A good Question and
I have saved both of the good links .

Average high 80, average low 62 in January February. For todays weather or history go to \"weather.yahoo.com/forecast/mxlo0047.html\"
Now having said that I have experienced cold snaps (like 03) with rain & a bit chilly. Take a jacket or buy a serape om arrival!
:D Not cold at all...possibly cool in the evenings while walking along the Malecon...take a jacket, sweater, or a long-sleeved shirt would suffice. Days are nice and warm, sun feels great on your skin, perfect weather for sunning....the ocean will be cooler.
