I travel to PV solo all the time. I really love to walk around the town. The malecon at night (especially Sunday) to watch the various performers, and mingle with the tourists and locals. Walk over to the south side and explore the many smaller non-touristy shops. Try all the restaurants in the area. Have a drink and watch the sunset at one of the beach bars. Smile alot and enjoy the warmth and friendliness of the local residents. If you want to to tours or out of the area things let us know what your interests are and we can make more suggestions.

travelling in PV alone
I want to do a Whale Watching tour, have you done that? Some are all day and include stopping at a beach somewhere, others are just whale watching. thanks, Charlotte
Charlotte,
When are you going? There are any number of trips you can take whale watching. Depends on what you are looking for. Some people only want to go with marine biologists, others want to go on smaller more private type charters. As long as you go on boat that has a permit for whale watching you will be able to approach the whales at the same distance and for the same length of time. Just depends on the type of trip you want to do. If you go to the tours section here you can find the description of the tours. I always do a private tour if I am in town during the whale watching season but I would have a biased opinion, so read about the tours on this site under \"What to do\".

meet me
Well you could always meet me for drinks and dinner in Barra de Navida. Then an evening at a club, or just a strole along the ocean.....I am a 60 yr single male from BC Canada
Do many people travel by themself? I am coming to the area in a few weeks, and surprised at how many people are SURPRISED at me going to PV by myself. LMAO!
There are alot of people who travel to PV by themselves. The people in PV are wonderful, warm and welcoming. You will have a great time! And when your friends act surprised, just look at them and tell them you will think about them when you are sitting on the beach with your toes in the sand and drink in your hand.
