What are the best beaches to find seashells and what times

Hello we just got back from PV last week. We stayed at Velas Vallarta in the Marina area. The beach at Velas had some really small shells...smaller then a dime...and alot of rocks. We did find some decent shells when we did our excursion to Las Caletas though, just watch out for the jellyfish!!

In all the years we have been going to PV and Bucerias, we have never found many good shells.

I was told by a reliable source (JR) that most of the shells for sale in PV were from the Phillipines.
