how long does it take to get to the islands by panga and is it easy for people to get sea sick?

Yelapa, Las Animas, Pizota and Quimixto are not islands, but ocean side villages to the south of PV. Shortest panga ride is from Boca de Tomatlan. I never get sea sick, but maybe take some Dramamine (sp) or a wrist band if you are concerned.
Shortest panga ride to Marietas is from El Anclote, talk to Lupé, from the co-op, he brings people to the island to snorkle. BUT, you are best to book a day cruise as they usually have better equipment, etc. and you may also go to another private beach area, food drinks, etc.
Plenty of great excursions are available, see your front desk, but watch out for timeshare hawkers in disguise as tour reps. You can also book the Marigalante, which has snorkeling, food, drinks and beach time, BUT, it is more \"rocky\" than a large catamaran.
