Great info, thanks. Our kids are teenagers, but are there questionable activities or sights of these dancers. We will look forward to the fireworks.
Can you provide any info on best tours to take in. Even though we have been here many times we have had health issues that prevented someone in our party from participating, thus we refrained from such.
there is a section on this board that has some great tour offerings, depends on what your interests are. We will hop on the Mismaloya bus, take it to Boca de Tomatlan and wander around before we have lunch at Cafe Primativo. The water taxis are also available from here if you want to head to Yelapa, Quimixto etc. On the way back, get off at the La Jolla Mismaloya resort, wander into the town (on your right as you exit the bus, avoid the resort, they WILL NOT allow you onto the grounds unless you are a guest and they are NASTY about it!) and try tequila at the factory there. Some good beach restaurants here (the public access to the beach) and La Iguana at the entrance to Mismaloya serves a killer pina colada!
Tours that we will take this year will be the bus to El Tuito (racilla!), Talpa Mascota day trip (flight) and if by chance the Bloodhound is seaworthy, we will be on her again. And whatever else strikes our fancy.
Thanks for all the info. We are all excited to see the traditions come alive for the holidays. Experiencing another countries festivities is always an awaking for the senses.
We are considering taking some other tours during the rest of the holidays, so just want to get some other peoples perspectives they experienced on some of the tours. We are not into swimming with the Dolphins as we have seen the pen they are kept in, but wonder if the canapy tour, or some of the jungle/waterfall tours are good.
