We too appreciate the porters in Mexico..Fastest easiest way to get out of the airport and well worth the tip when the porters help you avoid the shark tank...

Great idea you and Laurie had exchanging our useless (in Mexico ) toonies and loonies the porters receive as tips..

Will remember this and pass on the info...

I too think it sad if the porters will be replaced by carts...

You know when I was there last January, I got a porter for this exact reason, thinking he would fly through the sharktank WRONG!!! The porter took me directly to a timeshare rep who tried to persuade me into a free ride to the hotel and free breakfast. $$$ being the key phrase here. Personally, not much of a loss for me!
