packing?

hi i was advised by our travel agent to bring presents of kids clothes and toys for the maids. we really want to do this to help out. but i was wondering what kind of items i should bring? i dont want to offend anyone. also we were debating on if we should stock up on camcorder tapes and that kind of stuff? and my lap top i cant live withtout it! im a student and i will need it while i m gone... otherwise its just bikinis and board shorts baby!!!!! lol and my shoes and my dresses and my tanning lotion and my blow dryer... lolololol.......

Put yourself in the persons position that you will be tipping. Which would you rather receive ? Trinkets or cash ? Not a hard choice, money is the way to go. Hope you enjoy your vacation.
