Depends on what your preferences are. My wife and I have stayed in Nuevo twice and absolutely loved it. You are further from PV, that is true, buy you are close to Bucerias, which is a lot more authentic in my opinion. We found PV to be very commercialized last time we were there, but Bucerias is still very much a quaint mexican town. There are very good restaurants there and they have an open market that had much better prices than in PV. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the beach, then Nuevo is for you. If you are looking for a place to party non stop, then you will likely find yourself going into PV often. You will find that the beaches are nicer further north than they are in PV, they did not get affected by Kenna too much. Wherever you stay, you will love PV and enjoy your holiday.
