You need to do your research, go to:

and read everything.
Re:Moving To PV..HELP!
Truly, your question is bigger than this BB. You need to know what the reality of (legal) working and living long-term in Mexico entails.
Re:Moving To PV..HELP!
I think in order to get an FM3 you have to show proof of income. Defintely do your research first. There is a lot involved. Jobs are hard to come by down there. In order to work, I think you may have to even have a different kind of visa. Research, research. Good luck!
Re:Moving To PV..HELP!
Thanks for all the info gang..it has been very very helpful.I appreciate all the posts :) I am trying to gather as much information as possible, and all these posts have certainly helped. I was wondering, when some of you guys moved to PV, how difficult was it to actually relocate? Did you drive here? if so, were there problems with the authorities along the way? were u harassed? what kind of taxes did u have to pay for bringing in some of your electronics, etc? or, if u shipped everything to PV, how was that experience? was it very expensive to do that? Looking back, what things do u wish u had brought with you?...what things should u of not brought with you?...what other things/problems should I look out for? thanks again :-)
Re:Moving To PV..HELP!
Do you have a job here? jobs are few and far between unless you work in timeshare theres not much else offered for non Mexicans. I hope your not like many others thinking Pv is the place to come to get rich. Honestly no money to be made here.
