Leaving on the 14th need some advice

Why would you tip in US funds? Besides the higher exchange rate from CDN to US, the currency in Mexico is the Peso.

My wife and I were there in mid Jan. We changed $300 Canadian here at the bank where my wife works and got 6.35. When we got to PV, we got 6.6 and 6.9 when we exchanged at the money exchange cambios. Needless to say I was sorry we had exchanged at home. I have been watching the peso and it is higher now than when we were there. We tried exchanging money at a Banamex bank, but they would not exchange travellers cheques, only cash. Also, they would only give 6.60, not the 6.9 we got the day before. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR MONEY TO AMERICAN, you will lose too much money. Hope this helps.
