Re:Jelly fish season
They seem to be out in the middle of the ocean, but not near the shoreline. Went on a boat trip to La Palapa last year, an older gentelman jumped off the boat and got stung in the face by a jelly fish. The man soiled himself an dwas screaming in agony, The tour guide cured him the Mexican way - con Tequila.

Watch out for the big ones they will get you!

The ones you actually have to watch out for are the little ones as you do not see them as easily. The big ones are easily visible and easy to stay away from. You see the small ones most in September thru Nov. sometimes into Dec. The exact season will vary slighly due to water conditions.

Lived off Hilton head SC for a few years and around april or may they would have signs up about jellyfish.
It was always fun to watch the tourist not read the sign and run into the water getting stung the whole time by thousands of those monsters. Always felt sorry for them.
