what did you fall into, and what are you looking for - good and bad stories...

I think Jimmy forgot to finish his question, maybe his long fingers got tangled up!
Big Bubbles - No Troubles
Jimmy was at work at the bubble gum factory - he fell in a vat of liquid gum . All looked bleak till his boss came by and chewed him out. :)

Jimmy here and i would like to know what is so great about puerto vallarta and what is so bad about puerto vallarta
Everything is great and nothing is bad.

Edit: I did forget there is something that is bad..... Having to go back home.
My question to you, jimmy, is: WHY do you want to know?? Do you have any real interest? Or do you just want to cause trouble? Chuck... 8)
PV
OK Pluses People, weather, water architecture, art, views, cafés, food, hotels for all budgets, Malcon, Beaches, shopping & landscape to name a few.

Negatives: To many peddlers, traffic, smog (haze or what ever you want to call it) Time share Ghouls, Drunk ,inconsiderate Gringos, beggars & Way to many tourists! Half of you go else where! LOL
you want to know whats wrong with pv? ill tell you. its to far from my home, i hate that when i go outside i dont have to wear a jacket. wearing just a shirt and shorts are terrible,ITS NOVEMEMBER. I hate when sand gets in between your toes when your walking along the beach. And speaking of beaches, tell the women to put more clothes on. just seeing them in a bikini is blinding to the eyes. And if your staying in an A1 thats even worse. All the free drinks and food?? bad, bad, bad. And for those reasons alone, I cant wait to go back.
 canadiandude that is a great response ... stew you are right too... would love to see more people go else where and make more room for me... LOL that is why with all the Cancun people coming over to get a taste of what Mexico is about instead of $$$$, bright lights, and an atmosphere of Miami or Vegas... LOL Granted there is times that Vallarta is changing that way, especially out in Nuevo Vallarta and Punta Minta.... Grand and Glorious hotels being thought of, planned out, and being built....

have to say... Vallarta is better than Iowa any day... and right now it is snowing and cold and slick outside... oh well..

Since everyone has their own idea of what the \"perfect place\" is, PV is not for everyone. I like it because it is to easy to get around, and the people are down to earth and friendly. One thing I can see as becoming a problem is that PV has more than tripled in population over the last 5 years or so. I started hearing comments and grumbling right from the start this fall, starting with the airport cabbie.
Also, if you are looking for Vegas or a modern tourist trap like Cancun you may not like it. For me the worst part of PV is 1: the timeshare sharks and 2: Having to leave.
Good + bad
Whats good has been mentioned ...whats bad is there is scheduled to be even more cruise ships this year an dthey cant even dock in the port they have to anchor out front of our resort thsi year 2 at a time Im told and the crusie ships send all these people onto our beach and downtown ,I am also told that now many resorts will be renting out towels and aloowing crusie ship gueats to use there beach chairs .
you must be staying at the Krystal... as that is one of the major resorts where the Cruise Guests can pay to come onto property and use the facilities... yes we have the cruise ships anchor just off our beaches at the GCP and CPCR.... we used to have an oceanographic ship that was anchored there, and had guests complain to have the ship moved... it is like HELLO... there will come a time they will most likely either build a new harbor for all the cruise ships to come to, or we will just have to deal with the additional 7000 + visitors to our little community.... now you know why i stay at the GCP....
