Every time we have gone to Puerto Vallarta we have used FunJet. FunJet is one of our favorite travel companies. We use Apple when we go to Cancun, but have not been as happy with them as FunJet. We really like Puerto Vallarta. It is more laid back than Cancun. The airport is easier to get in and out of than Cancun. We have not stayed at the Holiday Inn, but I have heard good reports concerning the resort. We have stayed at the Solare and the Royal Decameron. Since this is your first trip, just relax and enjoy Puerto Vallarta. It will be hot so remember that sunscreen and always have a cold drink in your hand.
