Re:First Timers
this will be our 14th trip to PV in just over the last 8 yrs... we have been to Jamaica, cruises, hawaii etc... we love it there... the people are friendly... this is one place where you can go Mach 1 with your hair on fire, or you can just kick back... there are tons of tours, there are a zillion resturants... the malecon during the evening is great... the thing we love about PV is that we can go down town midnight party until 2-3 am and get back to the resort with no problems... BE SMART THOUGH!!!! we will be there for two weeks again this year feb 15 - mar 1.... HAVE FUN
Re:First Timers
Some things we love to do is drive or take the public bus to punta mita / Sayulita and San fransciso. Pittilal is a great place to visit on the outskirts of Pv just a 4 pesos bus ride away. A little cheaper for souvineers there too. Pretty with good shops that sell everything yoiu would ever want. we found the increase in prices have skyrocketed this year. 20% difference to this time last year for the same items, restaurants. It is becoming wikedly expensive especially for the Can $ but you will keep comming back time after time. The friendlyness is unbeatable. Also chack out the free shows and entertainment on the malecon.

Re:First Timers
My wife and I have been to PV many times and have always enjoyed going on tours. They have a wide variety of tours including the jungle tour which I think you will enjoy. As for towns outside Vallarta, some tours take you there also.We visited a little town called El Tuito located south of PV.You might also want to look up El Eden in the jungle.Part or the predator movie was filmed there. There are also day and evening cruises. Some take you to a little beach called Yelapa.Others have the fiesta atmosphere. So many things to do!!...We are going back on feb. 8th and very much looking forward to it!!!
Just enjoy it..
