Electricity Plug Questions...

The plugs and outlets are the same as in Canada and the US. Everything should work just fine.

Also, if what ever you are taking down has a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other), older outlets in Mexico will not work, as the wide prong will not go in. I take a couple of the three to two prong adapters that Deb mentioned, with the polarized side filed down. The extension cord is good advice too.

As far as an extension cord.....your hair dryer is probably rated at 1500watts. This will require a heavy duty extension cord that will handle the 1500 watts or the cord will over heat and be a fire hazzard. Just a safety precaution.

Did more checking on Mexican Power. I looks like the AC is just a little higher in voltage than the states, 125 volts. (US 110-120v). The only thing that I have had problems with is batteries & battery chargers (both the AA and video) getting hot if not watched.
