Dengai Fever outbreak???

I am scheduled to go the same hotel (Grand Marival) also with Sign. Vacations due to Hurricane Kenna in December. I guess all the transfers with Signature are for Supersaver rooms. An opinion of the quality/safety of Supersaver and Superior rooms would be appreciated upon your return. HAVE A GREAT VACATION!

Agony Aunt Bill contracted typhoid in Canada this summer. Not to downplay dengue, which is nasty, this is something that you can do nothing about. Apply bug spray and enjoy your trip.

I contacted our Canadian Government Tourist Advisory regarding the concern of Dengue Fever reported in the Puerto Vallarta area. The only concerns were more in the mountain or jungle areas. There have been no current reports for the tourist areas of PV or Nuevo Vallarta. They suggested if we were concerned just take some bug repellant. As mentioned earlier you could go to the mid west and be in contact with West Nile. Have a great holiday.

How then do you account for all the hospitals having patients with hemorragic dengue fever, with even the Health Officers of Jalisco State saying they have had a lot of deaths & hospitilizations?
