cinco de mayo

we are going to pv for 10 days returning on may 5,i just became aware that day is cinco de mayo. should we stay an extra day?? does anyone know what goes on for it?

ok i now have 2 conflicting views. one that says big party and another that says it is celebrated much like we do presidents day(banks closed and thats about it) i need more help........

You must be right about what bars/places that celebrate it.

Mexican Independence Day in September is a really big deal though, so maybe leave on the 5th this trip, and go down in September for that!
