Depending on the age of some of the buildings and their wiring, Canucker is correct - they do not have the \"safety prong\" style outlets where one hole is slightly larger than the other, they often only have the older models. Easy fix by going to a local hardware store or WalMart and buying a plug adapter for a couple of dollars.
Current in Mexico is the same as in the US and Canada, which if I recall correctly, is 110/120v. All of your appliances will work fine - hair dryer, curling iron, coffeemaker, etc.
